We all hate it when a novice user calls us and ask for assistance because some thing is not working with his/her computer. It's more frustrating when the only details he gives us is "it stopped working" or "some error message showed up" and he expects us to magically solve he's issues. This is where Anyplace Control steps in. It let's you remotely control another machine over a distance.

The installation package is under 5 Mb large and the process itself is fast. Just don't click blindly on those next buttons because there are two things to install here. The kit will let you install either a host program or an admin one. The admin is the controller and the host is the controlled.

The interface has a nice looking design and using it is no challenge. The options from the top menus can be accessed more easily from the interface itself by clicking on the large, shiny buttons you'll find right under these menus.

You can directly connect to another machine on your local network or, for greater distances, you can connect via Internet, but this requires an online account. The Internet and the direct IP connection options can be found on separate tabs on the main window so you can get a better idea what you're doing. Connecting to a PC over the network can be done with as much as a few clicks. You can add multiple PCs in the list found under the direct IP connection. Just click the "add remote PC" button. There's no problem if you don't know the target PC's IP address. Clicking the browse button will scan and show you a list of PCs on your local network. Select one or more of them and click to add them to the main list.

Now all that's left is to select a computer and click the connect button. Once the connection is done you'll have more options available on the toolbar. Using these buttons you can just view the other PC's desktop, send messages, transfer files, shut it down or take full control of it. A full screen window will show up where you can control the target computer like your own. While controlling it, you'll have most of these options available on top of the screen. That's all you need to concern yourself with when using Anyplace Control.

pro:
The way the interface is design makes accessing another computer fast, without the need to type complex IP addresses or anything of the sorts.

con:
Creating an online account may be a bit tricky. Especially if you're using the trail version

Taking control over another computer is made easy by Anyplace Control. It's interface let's you do this with just a few clicks, all from the comfort of your own PC.
